Do I always need a full new roof if I have a leak?→
Not always. A lot of leaks come from very specific issues – like failed flashings, cracked tiles, blocked gutters or badly finished junctions. I start by finding the actual source, then advise if a targeted repair is sensible or if the roof is genuinely at the end of its life.
Can you just make it safe first and fix it properly later?→
Yes. If water is coming in heavily, the first priority is to make things safe and stop further damage. That could be temporary coverings, redirecting water or emergency gutter clearances. Once it’s stabilised, we can agree a proper permanent repair.
How do quotes work for roofing and guttering jobs?→
For many smaller jobs, clear photos and a postcode are enough for an initial estimate. For bigger or more complex issues, I’ll visit, assess the roof and any internal damage, then send a written quote that’s easy to understand – no vague one-liners.
